Part-Time Office Assistant - Police Department (TEMPORARY POSITION)

Job Summary Part‑time, 25 hours per week, within the Columbia Police Department Investigations Division. Provides administrative support, including clerical, receptionist and customer service duties. Job Type and Compensation Temporary position for less than 1,450 hours in any calendar year. Starting salary $17.25 per hour. Paychecks issued bi‑weekly. Responsibilities Support investigations staff through administrative tasks, reception duties, and customer service interactions. Minimum Qualifications Dependability and ability to work under strict deadlines. Basic computer skills. Knowledge of basic criminal justice terminology, concepts and methodologies is preferred. Ability to pass an extensive criminal history background check. Requirements Temporary employees have no seniority, grievance, or appeal privileges. No benefits except those required by law. No sick, holiday, or vacation pay.
