Tennessee Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster - In Office - Hendersonville, TN

The Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster manages lost-time and medical-only claims in a fully desk-based environment, reporting to a claims supervisor. This role investigates claims, evaluates injuries and coverage, coordinates defense counsel when needed, and supports timely, compliant claim resolution through effective documentation and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Investigate lost-time and medical-only workers' compensation claims.
• Assess injuries and analyze coverage to determine claim eligibility and liability.
• Manage claim reserves and review medical bills for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Negotiate settlements in accordance with claim evaluations and applicable requirements.
• Coordinate defense counsel and support litigation-related activities.
• Maintain accurate, complete claim documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with claimants, providers, employers, counsel, and other stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in workers' compensation claims adjusting.
• Handles Tennessee claims
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with workers' compensation claims.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and reserve analysis.
• Negotiation and investigation skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements.
• Strong written communication and critical-thinking skills.
