Recycling Coordinator

Location: Chicopee, MA
Pay Rate: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and organized Recycling Coordinator to oversee daily recycling operations and ensure materials are processed efficiently and safely. The Recycling Coordinator will work closely with drivers, warehouse staff, customers, and management to coordinate the collection, sorting, tracking, and shipment of recyclable materials while maintaining compliance with company and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily recycling activities and schedules.
• Monitor incoming and outgoing recyclable materials.
• Maintain accurate records of material weights, shipments, and inventory.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, drivers, and production staff regarding recycling services.
• Ensure proper sorting and handling of recyclable materials.
• Assist with scheduling pickups and deliveries.
• Complete required reports and documentation.
• Monitor equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and environmental regulations.
• Support warehouse and recycling operations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in recycling, waste management, logistics, manufacturing, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping abilities.
• Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
