We are seeking an experienced finisher with conversion varnish expertise to join a high-quality custom cabinetry and millwork environment. This role is responsible for producing high-end paint and stain finishes using spray systems, ensuring consistency, color accuracy, and premium craftsmanship across all products.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from detailed shop drawings
- Mix paints, stains, and finishes to match approved color samples
- Spray Milesi 2K polyurethane coatings and other conversion varnish systems to achieve high-end finishes
- Apply wipe-on stains and spray clear coats for premium stain finishes
- Prepare cabinet parts and assemblies for finishing (sanding, cleaning, masking, etc.)
- Inspect finished product for quality, consistency, and color accuracy before moving to the next stage of production
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized finishing environment
- Must have conversion varnish finishing experience
- Proven experience in spraying stains, paints, and clear coats in a custom millwork or cabinetry environment
- Strong understanding of custom cabinet construction and components
- Ability to accurately mix and match colors, stains, and finishes
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to detect subtle color differences
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs throughout the workday
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- High level of ownership, integrity, and commitment to quality craftsmanship
