Job Title
Core Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair automated equipment such as mixers, ovens, conveyors, proofers, slicers, and packaging machines.
Troubleshoot mechanical systems (gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, pneumatics, hydraulics).
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime.
Support automation systems (working alongside electrical/PLC technicians).
Install and commission new machinery or production lines.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and safety standards (GMP, HACCP).
Minimize production stoppages in a high-volume, continuous operation.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
Industrial mechanics and machine maintenance.
Pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Conveyor systems and high-speed packaging equipment.
Basic understanding of automation and PLC-controlled machinery.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and manuals.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications (Typical):
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Maintenance.
Experience in food manufacturing or automated production environments (preferred).
Knowledge of food-grade materials and lubrication.
Willingness to work shifts or on-call.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced, automated production floor.
Temperature variations (ovens, freezers).
Strict hygiene and safety procedures.
