Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
The RN Circulator is responsible for providing comprehensive peri-operative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. They collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes throughout the surgical process.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients pre-operatively to identify individual needs and risks.
• Coordinate patient care activities with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members.
• Direct and supervise OR Technicians and support staff to maintain efficient workflow.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, hospital policies, and safety procedures.
• Participate in Performance Improvement initiatives, unit meetings, and staff in-services.
• Serve as a resource and mentor for team members to promote best practices and professional development.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Demonstrate recent experience in an operating room or peri-operative setting.
• Possess knowledge of surgical procedures, aseptic techniques, and patient safety protocols.
• Exhibit strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Comply with hospital, state, and regulatory certification requirements.
• Be willing to participate in on-call rotations scheduled Monday through Sunday.
