Shipping ClerkOur client, a leader in logistics and distribution, is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join their team in Oak Ridge, TN. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys administrative and shipping-related work, has strong computer skills, and takes pride in accuracy and organization. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with shipping software, paperwork, carrier documentation, and preparing shipments for delivery.Job Title: Shipping ClerkLocation: Oak Ridge, TNPay: $21/hrShift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Mon-FriWhat's the Job?Prepare and process outbound shipments using FedEx, UPS, and LTL carriersCreate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required shipping documentationEnsure all shipment paperwork is completed accurately and efficientlyLabel, wrap, stack, and prepare pallets for shipmentVerify shipping information and maintain accurate records in company systemsCommunicate with carriers and internal departments regarding shipment status and requirementsAssist with inventory control, stock organization, and shipping-related data entryMaintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping areaWhat's Needed?Previous shipping, logistics, shipping clerk, or administrative experience preferredStrong PC skills and experience using computer systems and software applicationsFamiliarity with shipping processes, including FedEx, UPS, and LTL freight shipmentsComfortable handling paperwork, shipping documents, and data entry tasks throughout the dayExcellent attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders and shipmentsStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently while supporting a team environmentAbility to stand, lift, and move materials as neededCommitment to workplace safety and quality standardsWho Will Be Successful in This Role?This position is ideal for someone who enjoys the clerical side of shipping and logistics.
