Warehouse Forklift Operator

Forklift OperatorThe Forklift Operator reports to the Warehouse Manager and is responsible for supplying the necessary materials and/or product to the molding/printing departments. They will put away finished product that comes out of the Molding and Printing departments, placing them into the designated area according to the warehouse footprint.Position Responsibilities:Ensure accuracy of all scanning transactions in the LX system, as well as physical movement of product throughout the warehousePick orders as requestedLoad trucks as requestedProvide support for the inventory control and/or QC department as per supervisor's requestFollow directions provided when putting together customer orders to ensure orders are organized and put together as per customer specifications, build up skids for shipment if requiredFulfill all HACCP requirements and report any critical control point non-conformancesWork and act in a safe manner, obeying all company safety rules and regulationsPerform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Warehouse SupervisorStore all finished and unfinished product in their appropriate warehouse locationProperly maintain forklift/reach truck and ensure daily vehicle checks are conducted and Check sheets are appropriately loggedGather, weigh, log transfer and load all scrap as requiredOrganize and consolidate skids to ensure Warehouse efficiency (the same product together in one place)Ensure the Warehouse is maintained in an orderly fashion, completing housekeeping responsibilities as requiredSkills/Experience Required:Educational Requirements: Grade 12 education or equivalentMinimum Experience/Field: Three years Forklift experience in a fast paced Production/Manufacturing environmentMust be able to perform basic mathematical skillsLicenses/Permits Required: Must be a licensed Forklift operator (both Reach and Counterbalance)Communication Skills: Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication skillsPhysical Requirements: N/ACore Competencies for this Position:Results OrientationProblem SolvingInterpersonal SkillsPolytainers is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
