Global Manufacturer is seeking a Senior Metallurgical Engineer to join their team in Allentown, PA! You will lead hands-on metallurgical expertise within the laboratory, leading failure analysis investigations, developing root cause and implementing corrective actions, provide engineering support and operate on equipment. With a BS in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science or related, 5+ years of experience, and backgound in metal materials. responsibilities:

• Conduct failure analysis investigations, root cause analysis and implement corrective / preventative actions
  
  
  
• Operate metallurgical equipment within the lab, evaluating mechanical properties and characterizing steels, and other alloy systems
  
  
  
• Subject matter expert on metallurgical and materials support for cross-functional teams

• Manage and mentor laboratory technicians and junior staff

Requirements:

• BS Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science or similar

• 5+ years experience in metallurgy laboratory

• Metallic, super alloys experience
  
  
  
• Ability to travel 15%
