This role serves as a developmental step for future store managers and involves assisting with recruiting, store presentation, inventory processes, and financial controls. Key Responsibilities Assist in recruiting, staffing, and training staff. Support merchandising, stocking, and proper product presentation. Help manage inventory, including damages, markdowns, and stock counts. Ensure in-stock levels and proper ordering practices. Deliver excellent customer service and uphold company policies. Participate in store opening and closing, deposit funds securely, and maintain store safety and cleanliness. Review sales and expense reports to identify trends and opportunities. Complete necessary documentation accurately and timely. Operate store functions in the absence of the store manager. Qualifications & Skills Ability to interpret procedures, perform basic math, and handle cash accurately. Knowledge of inventory, merchandising, safety, and security practices. Effective communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish) in some locations. High school diploma or equivalent; retail experience preferred. Physical & Work Environment Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds. Occasional climbing, driving, and exposure to outdoor weather.
