RN-Registered Nurse // Med Surg All On-site Contract Starts 3/16/2026 13 weeks Night Shift 12 hours/day, 3 days/week Location 609 Medical City Drive, Decatur, TX 76234 – 4th and 5th Floors, Main Campus. Unit Information Number of Beds: 60 Number of Staff: 50 Staff Composition: Day Shift – 1 Charge nurse per floor, RNs, LVNS, PCTs, and unit secretary (when grid allows) Night Shift – 1 Charge nurse per floor, RNs, LVNS, PCTs Patient Ratios: 5:1 on 4th Floor (Med Surg Specialty), 6:1 on 5th Floor Equipment: remote telemetry, capnography, Alaris IV pumps, glucometers, dynamaps EMR: Alterra (Allscripts) Must Have Telemetry experience Med Surg experience Preferred / Nice to Have Cardiac recognition, IV starts Time management Procedures Performed Abdominal procedures: cholecystectomy, appendectomy, colectomy, diagnostic procedures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, heart caths, run offs Gastric sleeve, total hip, knee, shoulder replacements, orthopedic trauma repairs (fractures) Personality Fit Team oriented, positive and flexible Required Certifications

ACLS, BLS, NIHS

Floating Areas Mandatory float as needed: Inpatient rehab, ED, PCU; no assignments outside skill level or scope Dress Code Scrub Color/Attire: currently black scrubs, moving to Medical City Blue Weekends and On-call Weekend shifts required; no on call.
