Physical Therapist / Physical Therapist Assistant — PRN
Birmingham Rehabilitation & Wellness Center | Birmingham, AL
Birmingham Rehabilitation & Wellness Center is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. This flexible, as-needed position is ideal for a licensed clinician who values schedule flexibility while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
About the RoleAs a PRN member of our therapy team, you'll provide skilled physical therapy services to residents and patients across our short-term rehabilitation and long-term care populations. You'll work as needed to cover caseload demand, staffing gaps, and peak census periods.
ResponsibilitiesEvaluate patients and develop or carry out individualized treatment plans (PT), or deliver treatment under the supervision of a licensed PT and per the established plan of care (PTA)
Document evaluations, progress, and outcomes in compliance with facility, state, and CMS requirements
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient goals and discharge planning
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and home programs
Maintain compliance with all clinical, safety, and regulatory standards
PT: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program; current, unrestricted Alabama PT license
PTA: Graduate of an accredited PTA program; current, unrestricted Alabama PTA license
Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills
Ability to work a flexible, as-needed schedule
