We need help with cooking, preparing and seasoning soups, meats, pizzas and so much more. We love creativity and people who love cooking! Help us ensure our standard and special menu entrees look and taste great, and are prepared in a timely manner. Ideal candidates will have prior experience working as a line and prep cook and can quickly memorize how to prepare menu items BUT WE WILL TRAIN. You should be able to communicate in a professional way with our entire restaurant and bar team as well as team members from other departments. You also must have a current San Diego County Food Handlers card, be well-versed in safe, sanitary food handling, follow directions and safety procedures, and report to work on time for scheduled shifts. A willingness to work on whatever needs to get done and a sense of restaurant urgency is also important to successful job performance./ppOn any given day, youll do several or all of these tasks:/pulliWork closely and professionally with our other cooks, bartenders, barbacks, cashiers and runners/liliPrep and cook (grill, fry, deep-fry, saute, toast or bake) regular and special menu items/liliChange out fryer grease/liliPrep adequate quantities of ingredients for upcoming shifts/liliMaintain clean and sanitary kitchen work areas/liliDeep clean the kitchen and kitchen equipment as directed/liliReceive deliveries/liliStock food and non-food supplies/liliWash dishes, pots and pans and utensils/liliOpen or close the kitchen/li/ulpCampland on the Bay is open every day of the year and this means you will need to be available to work morning, afternoon or evening shifts on weekdays, weekends and holidays. Part-time hourly pay with paid sick time. We cant wait to hear from you!/ph3Qualifications/h3pOur cooks operate in a kitchen environment, housed with equipment such as an oven, stove, dishwasher, slicer, fryer, grill, pizza oven and chefs knives. Our cooks are frequently exposed to heat, steam and noise. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: Constant standing, reaching, lifting, holding objects with hands. Occasional stooping, pushing and pulling items weighing 50 pounds or less.
