Financial Advisor / Financial Planner – Buffalo Grove, IL

We are seeking an experienced Financial Advisor / Financial Planner in Buffalo Grove, IL to join an established wealth management and financial planning team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Financial Advisor / Financial Planner who enjoys building long-term client relationships and providing comprehensive financial and retirement planning. This position is primarily focused on servicing and advising an existing client base rather than cold prospecting or new-business development.

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

• 3+ years of experience working directly with clients as a Financial Planner
• Active Series 65 OR Series 66 license
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Strong financial and retirement planning knowledge
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare client recommendations
• Excellent client communication and relationship-management skills
• Ability to work on-site in Buffalo Grove, IL

Please note: Candidates without 3+ years of direct client-facing Financial Planner experience and a Series 65 or Series 66 license will not meet the minimum qualifications.

As a Financial Advisor / Financial Planner , you will serve as a primary point of contact for assigned wealth-management clients and work closely with senior advisors and other members of the financial planning team.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage ongoing relationships with assigned financial-planning clients.
• Conduct regular client reviews and proactively address client needs.
• Develop comprehensive financial and retirement income plans.
• Prepare financial-plan recommendations and planning analyses.
• Review investment portfolios and asset allocations.
• Prepare and analyze financial-planning reports.
• Evaluate client tax situations and potential planning strategies using tax-planning software.
• Review annuity, life insurance, and long-term-care illustrations.
• Assist clients with financial questions, requests, updates, and follow-up.
• Collaborate with senior advisors on complex client cases.
• Identify appropriate additional planning opportunities within existing client relationships.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow-up on client meetings.

The ideal Financial Advisor / Financial Planner in Buffalo Grove, IL will also have:

• CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP) certification
• Life Insurance license
• Wealth-management or retirement-planning experience
• Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills
• Excellent attention to detail

CFP requirement: If not currently held, the designation must be obtained within 2 years of hire .

Life Insurance license: If not currently held, it must be obtained within 6 months of hire .

Monday–Thursday: 8:45 AM–5:00 PM
Friday: 8:45 AM–2:30 PM, assuming high-priority work is completed
