Job Title: Crimp Technician
Work Location: 1562 Reynolds Ave , Irvine, CA 92614
Pay Rate: $21.00/hr on W2
Schedule Time: 1st Shift; Monday - Friday (40 hours per week).

Position Summary:

• Responsible for detailed hands-on production assembly and operating specialized machinery to produce small, detailed medical device components.
• Performs equipment set-up, operation, minor repairs, and routine preventative maintenance on automated production equipment under minimal supervision.
• Maintains raw material feeds, clears machine stoppages, and utilizes Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) to monitor and adjust process controls.

Responsibilities:

• Perform equipment setup, daily operation, minor repair, and preventative maintenance tasks to meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Maintain raw material feeds and clear machine faults/stoppages on automated equipment.
• Utilize HMIs to identify and correct shifts in process controls.
• Troubleshoot mechanical errors or safety issues using troubleshooting tables.
• Use precision measuring tools to ensure parts meet strict specifications and tolerances.
• Utilize computer systems to support material inventory and quality management processes.
• Support new product design transfers, process development, equipment validations, and process validations.
• Strictly follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), material handling, and safety rules.
• Maintain a clean work environment suitable for medical device manufacturing.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Language Skills: Must be proficient in English to read documentation, communicate clearly, and write accurately.
• Technical & Mechanical Skills: Solid mechanical aptitude with knowledge/experience using automated machines, tools, and basic computer systems for material tracking.
• Mathematical & Problem Solving: Knowledge of basic math (arithmetic, simple algebra/geometry) and basic root-cause analysis concepts.
• Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, self-starter mindset, and ability to work independently or in cross-functional groups.
• Preferred: Familiarity with measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, feeler gauges, dial indicators, video microscopes) and experience with discrete assembly or robotics.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or Associate Degree with 2 to 4 years of experience (manufacturing or medical device assembly experience preferred).

Additional Information:

• Physical Requirements: Stand for at least 75% and walk at least 50% of the working shift. Reach above shoulder frequently and below waist occasionally. Ability to lift 5–20 lbs frequently and up to 20 lbs occasionally, with frequent pushing and pulling.
