Social Worker (MSW) Responsibilities & Duties

• Assessing clients' needs and developing individualized care plans

• Providing counseling and support to individuals and families

• Connecting clients with community resources and services

• Advocating for clients' rights and needs

• Collaborating with healthcare providers, schools, and other organizations

• Documenting clients' progress and maintaining accurate records

• Conducting home visits and fieldwork as necessary

• Facilitating support groups and community programs

• Providing crisis intervention and conflict resolution services

• Educating clients and families about available resources and support systems

Social Worker (MSW) Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in a clinical or healthcare setting

• Specialized training in mental health or substance abuse counseling

• Bilingual or multilingual proficiency

• Knowledge of local community resources and services

• Strong case management skills

• Experience with diverse populations and cultural competency

• Advanced skills in crisis intervention and conflict resolution

• Membership in professional social work organizations

• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems

• Supervisory or leadership experience in social work settings

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution

• State licensure or certification as a social worker

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Adept at problem-solving and critical thinking

• Sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic issues

• Commitment to ethical practice and professional development
