Senior Principal Applied Scientist (OCI- GenAI Vision/Biometrics)

Job Description The computer vision team is responsible for growing our capabilities in image analysis and recognition. Our goal is to enable customers to apply computer vision to solve their particular business problems with our assistance and expertise. In this role, you will have an opportunity to work with teams of applied scientists and engineers to deliver high quality computer vision models and services that delight our customers with the confidence that their data are safe and protected. Responsibilities Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing team of scientists. Collaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional teams to integrate computer vision capabilities into various applications and products. Innovation: Identify new opportunities for computer vision emerging technologies. Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and guidance to the team, and drive the development of the computer vision roadmap. Qualifications and Experience PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a dissertation, thesis or final project centered in Computer Vision and Machine Learning with 8+ years relevant experience is preferred but not a must; OR Masters or Bachelor’s in related field with 10+ years relevant experience. Strong publication record, including as a lead author or reviewer, in top-tier journals or conferences. Extensive experience in computer vision, deep learning, and image processing. Proven track record of leading research and development projects. Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and architectures. Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills. Range and Benefit Information US: Hiring Range in USD from: $139,400 to $291,800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
