Travel Occupational Therapist - Outpatient

American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist specializing in outpatient hand therapy at a Critical Access, Magnet-designated hospital in Jacksonville, with a minimum of 1 year of experience required.

Job Details

• Outpatient OT setting at a Critical Access, Magnet-designated hospital with 25 staffed beds,
• Caseload focuses on general adult OT and complex hand injuries; experience with lymphedema and oncology patients is a plus,
• Day shift, 5x8 schedule, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM,
• Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility is required of all travelers,
• Charting is performed in Cerner,
• No on-call requirement,

Job Requirements

• Active OT license required if applicable,
• Minimum 1 year of OT experience required,
• Hand therapy specialty experience required,
• Current BLS certification required; AHA and Red Cross accepted - RQI AHA cards are not accepted,
• SSN and DOB required for consideration,

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position,
• Any permanent or PRN employee of the Memorial Hospital System must have been away for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler,
• Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction,
• RTO of up to 5 non-holiday days is generally accommodated; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval,
• Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays,
• Schedule change requests may be discussed with the manager,
• Travel pairs are not accepted,
• Any solid scrub color is acceptable,
• Free parking is available on-site with a permit obtained during orientation,
• Housing in the area may be limited - candidates are encouraged to begin their search early
