Box Truck Driver

Job Description

The Box Truck Driver will operate and maintain a box truck to efficiently complete daily local routes, often working alongside a co-driver. This role involves careful planning, vehicle inspection, and secure loading to ensure on-time deliveries while maintaining safety and excellent customer interaction.

You will be delivering and setting up appliances in homes!

Responsibilities

Operate box truck safely and efficiently on daily local routes
Plan routes in coordination with co-driver for optimal delivery schedules
Secure loads to prevent damage during transit
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Manage timely delivery and accurate documentation of shipments
Maintain clear and professional communication with customers
Adhere to all safety regulations and compliance requirements
Document logs and maintain accurate records
Perform routine vehicle maintenance and report issues promptly

Preferred Qualifications

Defensive driving skills
Proficiency in vehicle inspection and basic maintenance
Strong route planning and navigation abilities
Experience with load securing techniques
Effective time management
Customer service experience
