Physical Therapist

Role Overview The Physical Therapist provides medically prescribed therapy to alleviate pain, restore function, and prevent disability after illness or injury. Key Responsibilities Conducts evaluations, develops individualized therapy programs using exercise, manual therapy, heat, water, light, and electrical modalities. Guides patients through active/passive exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, and instructs on the use of mobility aids and orthotic devices. Utilizes diagnostic tests for muscles, nerves, and joints, maintains patient progress records, and collaborates with the rehab team. May supervise staff and participate in training students and staff in therapy techniques. Qualifications & Skills Must hold a license as a Physical Therapist. Required certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), with preferred certifications in Pelvic Health. Post-2015, a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is mandatory. Experience requirements vary; relevant experience in therapy and patient care is preferred. Additional Requirements Ability to perform initial and re-evaluations, utilize therapy equipment, and provide patient education.
