Job Summary Direct Support Professionals (DSP) assist clients with all the activities of daily living, personal care, and program implementation. DSPs are responsible for ensuring the daily well‑being and safety of clients while providing adequate supervision. They also support household maintenance and housekeeping, and perform various tasks to promote a comfortable living environment. Mount Olivet Rolling Acres – MORA – is a diverse and inclusive nonprofit that has supported adults, seniors, and children with developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, age‑related and chronic medical conditions for over 50 years in the Twin Cities metro. MORA provides an array of services: Adult Day Services, Contracted Case Management, Community Supports, over 30 Residential Homes, Respite, Therapeutic Recreation, Training for Guardians & Families, and a Discover Summer Daytime Programming for Youth with Disabilities. The Metro Crisis Coordination Program (MCCP) offers a safety net of crucial and cost‑effective services for adults and children. Schedule Week 1: Sun 9 pm‑7 am, Mon 9 pm‑7 am, Tues 9 pm‑7 am, Sat 9 pm‑7 am Week 2: Sun 9 pm‑7 am, Mon 9 pm‑7 am, Tues 9 pm‑7 am, Wed 9 pm‑7 am Awake 9 pm‑10 pm, Asleep 10 pm‑6 am, Awake 6 am‑7 am Hourly Base Rate $18.00 per hour + $1.00 Hour Site Differential Weekend differential +$2.00 per hour for hours between Fri 10 pm and Sun 10 pm Overnight differential +$1.00 per hour for hours between 10 pm and 6 am ($12.13 per hour sleep hours only when assigned) $1,500 Retention Bonus for full‑time staff & $750 for part‑time staff, paid over 1 year. Essential Job Functions and Key Duties Assist clients with daily care, medical needs, ADLs, and mental health supports. Support a daily routine, providing choices and creative options. Routine includes hygiene, domestic tasks, leisure time, grooming, socializing, budgeting, money usage, safety, health, studying, homework, and community participation. Plan and implement recreation, leisure, and community activities. Drive to and from appointments and community activities in a company vehicle during all hours of operation. Help clients establish and maintain community relationships and facilitate friendships. Apply the Coordinated Service and Support Plan (CSSP), CSSP‑A, and Individual Abuse Prevention Plan appropriately. Deliver person‑centered services demonstrated in action and language. Maintain knowledge of client history, skills, vulnerabilities, habilitation plans, and emergency procedures. Participate in the support team process and assist with goal development and implementation. Administer prescribed medication, treatments, diets, and exams, and document accordingly. Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and MORA policies. Prepare meals per planned menu and handle weekly food ordering when needed. Assist with daily housekeeping and household maintenance. Complete house‑quality improvement assessments and address identified issues. Ensure sufficient client supervision, remaining on shift until a replacement arrives. Respectfully collaborate with internal and external individuals. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing using the clients’ primary spoken language. Complete all mandatory training required by MORA or 245D regulations. Follow company policies and procedures. Remain awake at all times unless assigned a sleeping shift. Document program data and daily logs accurately and timely. Collaborate with the team to complete other duties as assigned or needed. Desired Qualifications At least 1 year of experience supporting clients with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Interest in supporting clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or mental health needs. Required Qualifications Pass a Department of Human Services background check and maintain qualified status. Not excluded from working in government health programs by the Office of Inspector General. Meet company physical job demands. Hold a valid driver’s license and comply with state vehicle insurance requirements. Successfully complete a Medication Administration class with a score of 80% or greater; regularly administer medication correctly without error. Proficient computer use aligned with client needs and company procedures.
