- # Production SupervisorElizabethtown, NC, United States**Manufacturing Supervisor – Job Description****Position Summary**The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating daily production activities on the production floor to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and on‐time delivery. This role oversees a team of production associates, provides hands‐on support, resolves issues in real time, and drives continuous improvement in a fast‐paced manufacturing environment.**Key Responsibilities****Leadership & Team Management*** Supervise, coach, and develop a team of production employees across assigned shifts.* Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to standard work.* Conduct shift start‐ups, team meetings, and communicate goals and expectations.* Address performance issues, attendance, and behavioral concerns promptly and professionally.**Production & Workflow Management*** Ensure production schedules are met by managing labor, materials, and equipment effectively.* Monitor line performance, identify bottlenecks, and take corrective action to maintain throughput.* Coordinate with buyers, engineering, and maintenance to resolve production issues.* Maintain accurate production reporting, downtime tracking, and shift documentation.**Safety & Compliance*** Enforce all safety policies, PPE requirements, and OSHA standards.* Conduct safety audits, hazard identification, and incident investigations.* Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability.**Quality Assurance*** Ensure products meet quality specifications and standards.* Partner with Quality teams to address defects, rework, and process deviations.* Train employees on quality procedures and standard work instructions.**Continuous Improvement*** Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance workflow.* Support Lean, 5S, and Kaizen initiatives.* Recommend process changes and assist with implementation.**Administrative & Operational Duties*** Approve timecards, manage schedules, and coordinate overtime needs.* Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees.* Maintain inventory accuracy for materials used on the line.* Ensure equipment is properly maintained and escalate issues to Maintenance.**Qualifications****Required*** 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production environment.* 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.* Strong understanding of safety, quality, and production processes.* Ability to lead teams in a fast‐paced, high‐volume environment.* Excellent communication, problem‐solving, and organizational skills.* Proficiency with basic computer systems (Microsoft Office, ERP systems).**Preferred*** Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies.* Background in mechanical, electrical, or industrial assembly.**Work Environment*** Manufacturing/assembly floor environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and moving equipment.* Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and work overtime or weekends as needed.#LI-CS1**Ralliant Corporation Overview**Ralliant, originally part of Fortive, now stands as a bold, independent public company driving innovation at the forefront of precision technology.
