Part-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Southern Health Partners (SHP) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide clinical care and medical oversight at Montgomery County Jail in Tennessee. With approximately 16 hours per week, this is a great opportunity for a provider who wants to keep practicing, add meaningful work to their schedule, or make an impact in a structured healthcare environment.

Location: Montgomery County Jail TN Schedule: Approximately 2 8-hour shifts per week | Flexible Position: Part-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Evaluate and treat patients during scheduled on-site visits. Provide clinical direction and support to the nursing team. Review medical records, treatment plans, orders, and documentation. Prescribe medications and coordinate outside care when needed. Collaborate with the healthcare team to support quality patient outcomes. Practice according to established clinical protocols and standards. Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards of care.

Current NP or PA license in Tennessee. Nurse Practitioners must maintain a collaborating physician relationship when required by Tennessee regulations. Primary care, urgent care, or correctional healthcare experience is a plus. Strong clinical judgment and communication skills. Ability to pass a background check and obtain facility security clearance.
