RN Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - Travel / Contract - Night

Travel ICU RN Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an ICU RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Anderson, Indiana. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive critical care to patients in the intensive care unit. Assess and monitor critically ill patients, operating life‑support equipment, administering advanced treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Administer complex medications and treatments according to approved critical‑care nursing techniques. Operate and manage advanced life‑support equipment. Ensure patient safety and comfort in high‑acuity ICU environments, addressing physical and emotional needs. Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring, including arterial lines, central venous pressure, and pulmonary artery catheters. Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record in a timely manner. Provide education to patients and families regarding ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations. Communicate closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care. Maintain proficiency in critical‑care procedures and technologies through ongoing education and training. Adhere to strict infection‑control protocols and hospital safety, infection‑control guidelines, and regulatory standards. Qualifications Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations. At least one year of recent experience as an ICU RN. Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification or commitment to obtain. Strong critical‑care skills, advanced clinical judgment, excellent communication, and commitment to patient safety and professional ethics. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Physical and Technical Requirements Must remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Must grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures or using department equipment. Mental and Sensory Requirements Coping with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Ability to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as independently without assistance. Possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate.
