Our organization is seeking a Full-time MFM Ultrasound Technologist to become part of our team at the MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shift, with occasional travel to a secondary office as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with procedures such as needle biopsies, amniocentesis, and renal biopsies. This includes scanning patients, marking their bodies, determining puncture angles, providing necessary assistance, and ensuring sterile techniques are maintained.

• Produce computer images or films through automated processing and assess their quality.

• Clearly and accurately communicate and document patients' clinical information in both verbal and computerized report formats. Maintain records of examination data and other relevant patient information.

• Manage and return supplies such as films, linens, medications, and patient folders.

• Select and operate equipment as instructed, ensuring the appropriate technical factors are chosen for each individual patient.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required. Candidates should have either two years of diagnostic or ultrasound experience or have graduated from an accredited Ultrasound program (registry eligible) with certification in Diagnostic Sonography by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) within one year.

• OB/GYN registry and MFM experience are preferred, but we are open to considering new graduates.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Compensation

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD $35.68 - USD $64.71 per hour.
