Job Title: SQL Database Developer


Location: 100% remote, EST hours required

Must Haves

• 5+ years of experience with:
  • Visual Studio
  • SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
  • Creating and optimizing stored procedures
  • Creating database objects, triggers, and functions
  • Building and optimizing indexes
  • Writing dynamic SQL
  • Creating parameterized stored procedures
  • SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
  • SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
  • Writing variables and expressions within SSIS
  • Source control and deployment tools such as GitHub and Azure DevOps
• Strong SQL Server database development experience
• Power BI or Tableau
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Pluses

• 1-3 years of experience with:
  • AI developer tools (Copilot, Claude)
• Experience with:
  • Databricks
  • MongoDB

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server database solutions.
• Create, optimize, and troubleshoot stored procedures, functions, triggers, and other database objects.
• Develop and maintain SSIS packages for data integration and ETL processes.
• Build and support SSRS reports for business stakeholders.
• Analyze database performance and implement indexing and optimization strategies.
• Write dynamic SQL and parameterized procedures to support application requirements.
• Collaborate with development teams using GitHub and DevOps tools for version control and deployments.
• Support reporting and analytics initiatives using Power BI, Tableau, and emerging AI-assisted development tools.
• Participate in database enhancements, troubleshooting, and ongoing process improvements.
