An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to make a meaningful impact on elementary-aged students. This full-time contract role involves working with a diverse group of learners in a supportive school setting, with services primarily delivered within the general education classroom. Ideal candidates will be passionate about fostering growth and achieving positive educational outcomes for students with special needs.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in a school environment
• Knowledge and understanding of disabilities such as OHI (Other Health Impairment), Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Language Impairment
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt instruction within the general education setting
• Commitment to maintaining a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to students (approximately 10-15 on the caseload at a time) within the general education classroom
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting support and strategies as needed
• Communicate regularly with families and team members about student development
• Create supportive, engaging environments that promote student independence, confidence, and academic success
• Participate in relevant meetings, professional development, and school activities as required
