Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 hours Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) experience plus 2+ years of recent MedSurg and telemetry experience, including neuro care, myocardial infarctions, and tracheostomies. License: Current RN license Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: - Minimum of 1 year of IMCU experience - 2+ years of recent MedSurg and telemetry experience - Experience in neuro care, myocardial infarctions, and tracheostomies - Ability to care for patients with complex medical needs - Proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry rhythm strips - Successful completion of telemetry test on Day 1 Description: This position will involve a flexible schedule with 12-hour shifts and may require weekend and holiday rotations. The unit sees a mix of IMCU, neurology, and MedSurg patients. There is a high volume of neuro, medicine, and cardiology patients, including care for chronic ventilators, tracheostomies, and high acuity heart failure. The unit consists of 27 beds with an average patient ratio of 1:3 for IMCU and 1:4 to 1:5 for MedSurg patients. Critical care experience is preferred. Candidates must have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
