Job Title: First Assist Surgical Tech Profession: CST/ORT Specialty: Surgery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 06:30 - 17:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Not specified Certifications: BLS and ACLS Must-Have: - OR circulator experience - Ability to fulfill rotating call (one night a week minimum, one weekend per five-week schedule minimum) Description: The unit has five operating rooms. Current staffing includes five full-time registered nurses, including a manager and board runner, two part-time registered nurses, and three PRN registered nurses. There are also twelve surgical techs on staff. Patient ratios are 1 to 1. Basic operating room equipment is used, including cautery, video monitors, arthroscopy equipment, and positioning equipment. The electronic medical record system utilized is Meditech. Candidates must possess skills in OR circulator experience, BLS, and ACLS. Preferred candidates will have experience in orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, robotics, urology, vascular, cardiovascular, neuro, and thoracic surgery. The ideal personality fit is flexible, caring, compassionate, and willing. Candidates must be capable of scrubbing for open heart procedures. Weekend and on-call rotations are required, with a minimum of one night a week and one weekend every five weeks.
