Foreclosure Summer AssociateWe are seeking a dynamic candidate for a Foreclosure Summer position. The position will be responsible for researching law, investigating facts, and preparing documents to assist lawyers. The candidate must possess clear communication skills (both written and verbal) as well as a strong desire and willingness to learn. The candidate must be confident in their ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume, deadline‑driven environment, be computer savvy, and be comfortable working with multiple monitors in a paperless workplace. The position entails a high level of attention to detail, a thoughtful, learning‑driven motivation, and requires the ability to output extremely accurate work product.Required Experience and SkillsResearches and analyzes law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codesInvestigates facts and the law of a case to determine causes of action and prepares the case accordinglyManages deadlines effectively and efficientlyHandles other details in preparation for hearingsPrepares legal documents, develops strategy, and arguments in preparation for presentation of the caseDrafts and revises complaints, motions, discovery requests, and other documents; prepares pleadings, discovery, and responses well in advance of deadlinesMay accompany associates or partners to court, mediation, or depositionsFollows litigation policies and proceduresMeets standards of procedural knowledgeReviews correspondence, pleadings and miscellaneous noticesA successful candidate must pass a background check and be able to provide two professional references.Pre-Employment RequirementsBackground checkDrug screeningVerification of employment eligibility in the United StatesProfessional reference checksDepending on the nature of the role, candidates may also be subject to criminal and/or credit history reviews as permitted by law.Equal Employment Opportunity StatementRubin Lublin, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
