Hospitalist

We are seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Physician to join our client in Arizona for a 17-day assignment, beginning Dec 22, 2023. This role involves day and night shifts, providing comprehensive hospitalist care, including managing diverse cases, performing rounds, consults, and offering essential support to the ICU team in a resource-limited community. Practice Info EMR: Meditech EHR Setting: Inpatient Staffing Mix: Works with other APPs and physicians Responsibilities Provide comprehensive hospitalist care for a diverse patient population. Manage direct admits from operating rooms and outpatient settings, as well as transfers from outlying facilities. Conduct consults and rounds for all hospitalist cases. Address a wide range of conditions including cardiovascular, infectious disease, endocrine/renal, pulmonary, GI issues, and post-surgical management. Handle cases such as alcohol withdrawal, delirium, and heart failure. Manage vasoactive, heparin, and insulin drips (co-managed with the ICU group). Typical admissions consist of pneumonia and respiratory infections. Provide ICU coverage, assisting the ICU team with tasks such as drawing blood, without performing direct ICU work. Demonstrate a positive attitude and open-minded approach to care within a community that has limited resources.
