Drop Packer Operator MMT Shreveport, LA, US Job Summary: The Drop Pack Multi-Machine Technician (MMT) is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of Drop Pack equipment to support continuous production. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to ensure smooth changeovers, minimize downtime, and maintain product quality. The MMT also provides training, leadership, and support across multiple Pods to drive productivity and team success. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain Drop Pack machinery to meet production goals and quality standards. Troubleshoot, tune, and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime. Perform accurate and efficient changeovers and line adjustments. Use ERP systems (e.g., IFS, SAP) for tracking production, maintenance, and inventory. Record and update accurate shift data on the DMS Board. Partner with Maintenance to identify preventive or reactive maintenance needs. Escalate production or equipment issues to Pod Lead or designated leadership as required. Train, coach, and mentor Operators and Technicians to build team capability. Backfill Pod Lead responsibilities when assigned. Work across multiple Pods, supporting cross-training and operational flexibility. Maintain all assigned tools in safe and working condition. Demonstrate leadership qualities through communication, attendance, and positive team engagement. Adhere to all safety standards, procedures, and compliance requirements. Perform additional duties as assigned by Leadership. Proven experience as a machine operator or technician in a manufacturing environment. Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with ERP systems (IFS, SAP preferred). Solid understanding of production processes and safety regulations. Effective teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and efficiency.l> Demonstrated leadership traits, including initiative, accountability, and reliability. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical training or certification preferred. Prior experience operating and maintaining production machinery strongly preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods (8–12 hour shifts). Ability to work in extreme temperature conditions (heat and cold). Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. safely. Ability to climb stairs and work at elevated heights when necessary. Clear verbal communication skills to provide instructions and collaborate effectively.
