Registered Dietitian – Part-Time / Potential Full-Time

Fairlane Gardens Nursing and Rehab | Exeter, PA
Schedule: Part-Time

Fairlane Gardens Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicated Registered Dietitian to join our team. This role involves implementing, coordinating, and evaluating medical nutrition therapy, providing education to residents and families, and supporting the planning and execution of the facility’s food and nutritional services.

This is a part-time opportunity, with the potential to be considered for full-time employment if the position also includes coverage at Rose City Nursing and Rehab in Lancaster, PA.

Salary is negotiable based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preliminary and comprehensive dietary assessments for residents

• Develop individualized dietary care plans, identifying specific goals and resident needs

• Engage residents and families in creating and reviewing care plans

• Ensure dietary staff understand and utilize care plans in daily service delivery

• Identify and recommend appropriate medical nutrition therapy based on patient charts

• Ensure care plans include necessary special equipment or utensils for residents

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support positive resident outcomes

• Monitor residents’ nutritional status and make recommendations as needed

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Dietitian (RD)

• Minimum of two years’ experience as a dietitian in long-term care with some administrative duties, or one year of consulting dietitian experience in long-term care

• Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills

• Knowledge of long-term care regulations and nutritional standards preferred
