Bus Para

The primary duty of the bus para is to assist students during their bus route. Essential functions include maintaining consistent and punctual attendance, aiding students from the door to their seat, cooperating with the driver to maintain safety equipment, supervising all students, interacting with students in a positive, professional, and caring manner, reporting any unsanitary conditions, assisting substitute drivers with the schedule and route, filling out incident reports for unsafe incidents, assisting the driver with railroad crossing safety, making conduct reports for unusual student behavior, communicating with the director for clarification and reporting concerns, sanitizing the bus after each route, riding other routes as needed, being aware of safety procedures, and satisfying all guidelines contained within the department handbook.
