Forklift operator

We are seeking a Shipping and Receiving/Forklift Operator for a manufacturing company in Berlin, CT. At the moment this is a contract position through Randstad Staffing but with good production and good attendance, this could turn into a permanent position. The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience operating a sit down forklift in a manufacturing/logistics environment. Drug test and background check required before start.


salary: $23 - $24 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM
education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

-Managing the daily flow of incoming and outgoing goods
-Verifying shipments against packing slips
-Maintaining an organized inventory system
-Building and wrapping pallets
-Operate a forklift to safely load and unload trailers
-Move pallets and stage orders for distribution
-Materials can weight up to 12,000 lbs.
-Must be able to life 50lbs and must have steel toed shoes/boots

The essential functions of this role include:

• manual lifting up to 50lbs
