This well-established regional medical center serves as a leading healthcare destination in northern Nevada, offering a robust and collaborative pediatric hospital medicine environment. The facility features a 58-bed Level 3 NICU with 24/7 in-house neonatology coverage, dedicated newborn nursing staff trained in transitional, newborn, and couplet care, and comprehensive pediatric subspecialty support including pediatric surgery, as well as an academic affiliation providing opportunities for resident and medical student education.

Job Details:

• Full-time, permanent Newborn Pediatric Hospitalist (MD/DO) position
• Perform newborn nursery examinations and circumcisions
• Participate in pediatric resident and medical student education through academic affiliation
• Work alongside pediatric intensivists, hospitalists, and neonatologists
• Collaborate with dedicated newborn nursing staff trained in transitional, newborn, and couplet care
• Certified Lactation Specialist support available 365 days per year
• Practice within a 58-bed Level 3 NICU with 24/7 in-house neonatology coverage
• Comprehensive pediatric subspecialty support available, including pediatric surgery
• No delivery attendance required
• Overnight emergent newborn nursery coverage handled by the neonatology/NICU team - no on-call required
• Standard hospitalist schedule with possible weekend shifts
• Nevada Medical License required or willingness to obtain
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics required
• DEA and CSR/CDS must be obtained prior to start
• Position requires residency within the immediate local area - relocation may be required
• Not accepting Locums or visa candidates
