Offset Press Assistant II (Stacker) in Versailles, KY!

As an Offset Press Assistant II (Stacker) for SURESTAFF, you will work in a fast-paced printing and manufacturing environment supporting pressroom operations. You will assist with routine press operations, remove and stack finished products, move skids, adjust the stacker, monitor product quality, and help maintain a safe and clean work area. This position is ideal for dependable individuals who can follow instructions, communicate effectively with team members, and work in a physically demanding production environment. SURESTAFF is invested in our team members! Temporary employees receive competitive pay ranging from $15.00 to $16.50/hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance. Available Shift: 2nd Shift Monday through Friday 3:00 PM 11:00 PM. Overtime Available: As needed.

Responsibilities of the Offset Press Assistant II (Stacker)

• Communicate with oncoming workers during shift changes.
• Take stacks of finished product off the end of the press and stack products onto skids.
• Remove skids using a Big Joe and hand truck.
• Lift stacks of end boards as needed.
• Lift rolls of banding strap as needed.
• Move logs as needed without lifting them.
• Adjust the stacker using a touchscreen.
• Train other personnel as instructed.
• Keep the entire press area safe and clean.
• Follow quality inspection guidelines for products coming off the press.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with other members of the staff.
• Basic reading and writing skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced pressroom environment.
• Ability to follow quality and safety procedures.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently handle stacks averaging 1020 lbs. using repetitive hand and wrist movements.
• Stack product from floor level up to approximately 5 feet high, requiring repetitive bending and twisting.
• Remove skids weighing up to 2,400 lbs. using a Big Joe and hand truck.
• Lift stacks of end boards weighing approximately 30 lbs. as needed.
• Lift rolls of banding strap weighing approximately 60 lbs. as needed.
• Move logs as needed without lifting them.
• Stand for extended periods on a cement floor.
• Perform repetitive bending, twisting, standing, walking, and hand/wrist movements throughout the shift.
• Work safely in a production environment while following required safety procedures and wearing appropriate PPE.
