Speech Pathologist (SLP) Outpatient Rehab Falls Church, VA, United States Job Identification: 684123 Posting Date: 06/05/2026, 04:00 AM Job Schedule: Full time Locations: Inova Fairfax Hospital (On‑site) (On‑site) Job Description Inova Health Center 8081 - Fairfax East seeks a Speech Language Pathologist for our Rehab team. This full‑time day shift position requires 40 hours per week and flexibility to work either five 8‑hour shifts or four 10‑hour shifts, including Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Speech Pathologist Job Responsibilities The Speech Pathologist adheres to department policies regarding timeframe, form/content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff, healthcare team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts. Completes all administrative and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit while demonstrating essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols. Performs re‑evaluations according to department guidelines, adjusting treatment plans accordingly. Selects evaluation and treatment methods appropriate to the diagnosis, age group, and physical/emotional status of patients, and formulates appropriate treatment plans. May perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Education: Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Sciences Disorders accredited by ASHA. Experience: New Graduate Speech‑Language Pathologist eligible for clinical fellowship. Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start. Licensure: VA Speech‑Language Pathologist License required upon start or provisional VA license if being considered for clinical fellowship. Must be eligible for full active VA licensure upon completion of CFY. Preferred Qualification Speech Pathologist (SLP) experience. Inova Health System is an Equal Opportunity employer.
