We are looking for a Senior Planner / Scheduler for our location in the Northeast side of Houston, Texas area, to support our internal PM/CMs and our external Life Sciences, Bio/Pharma client.As a key member of our program support team, you'll be interacting with engineering and construction professionals to understand and communicate issues and conflicts that impact the schedule.Duties include but are not limited to the following:Leading the Planning / Scheduling team and effort on a large or mega projectInterfacing with engineering, procurement, construction, progress measurement, and the clientApplying your knowledge of pharmaceutical construction, standard industry means and methods, and Scheduling best practicesLeading project Interactive Planning Sessions (IAPs)Building a fully integrated EPCM schedule from scratch using CPM methodology, incorporating results of IAPs, and using project documents such as Scope of Work, P&IDs, General Arrangements et alUnderstanding principals of EPCM projects as it relates to schedule activities, logic, and durations across Engineering, Procurement, and ConstructionUnderstanding Resource Loading of both Engineering and Construction activitiesOptimizing and leveling schedule based on resource loading and density analysisEstablishing project Baseline Schedule supporting "Schedule Variance (SV) and Critical Path (CP) Analysis"Establishing and leading schedule update process, reporting, and review sessions with internal teamsLeading client facing schedule reviews supporting Jacobs Project Management and Construction Management teamsEnsuring integrity of the schedule inputs and outputs during the update processLeading "What-If" scenarios and "work-around" efforts supporting PM and CM teamsLeading Look-Ahead process of schedule activity and resource allocationsDeveloping written analysis and schedule basis supporting all schedule publicationsUnderstanding principles of EVM (Earned Value Management) and ensuring schedule and EVM are aligned throughout the projectDeveloping Systems based schedules supporting CQV effortsJoin us and we will assist you in continuing the development of your skills and exploring all that you can do across our global company, with opportunities to share your knowledge along the way.Here's what you'll need:At least 10 years of Planning / Scheduling experience on EPCMV life-cycle projectsMinimum of 8 years Primavera P6 software experience with expert level understanding and abilitiesA good understanding of processes that can handle production building, building construction, timelines, and practices and industry best practicesAbility to facilitate multi-company interactive planning sessionsAbility to create, update and analyze CPM schedules and recommend work-arounds and schedule improvement ideasAbility to communicate schedule status on a regular basis via formal and informal meetings and reportsExperience in collaboratively working with PM and CMs using the schedule as a tool to help deliver the project on schedule.Experience in coordinating the project's earned value system with schedule updatesKnowledge of general application of principles, theories, concepts, and industry practices and standards to perform workExperience with EVM (Earned Value Management)Ability to develop cost / schedule analysis presentations both graphically, written, and verballyIdeally, here's what you'll also have:Relevant and similar sized Pharmaceutical / Biotech construction experienceStrong written and verbal communication skills and understanding of technical terminologyExperienced in Microsoft suite of products including Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint Knowledge of Cost Tracking/Forecasting a plusAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelinesAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective mannerExperience working in conjunction with the various Engineering, Procurement and Construction functions is preferred.Posted Salary Range: Minimum 132,900.00.
