Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a travel assignment in a Long-Term Care setting. The SLP will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve residents' swallowing, cognitive, speech, language, and communication abilities while enhancing overall quality of life.

The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive speech-language pathology services in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations, professional standards, and established clinical practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on resident needs and goals.
• Provide dysphagia assessment and treatment to improve swallowing function and reduce aspiration risk.
• Deliver cognitive and communication therapies to maximize functional independence.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans and progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Lead, guide, and direct speech-language pathology services while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and professional standards.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Speech-Language Pathologist experience .
• Active Texas SLP License required.
• Current certifications and credentials required by state regulations and employer standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing environment.
• Strong background in dysphagia management and cognitive-communication therapy.
• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
