Description

• Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric populations through a combination of standardized testing and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment plans that target both immediate aims and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy, focusing on various aspects like communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Confer with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to formulate unified care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and their families to support progress outside clinical settings.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions for speech therapy, ensuring seamless care throughout their recovery journey.
• Keep thorough and timely documentation that aligns with all guidelines set forth at state, federal, and organizational levels.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in your field through continuous learning and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• If ASHA-certified, completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
