Operations Analyst - External Custody, Trade Settlement

The External Custody Trade Settlement team is looking to fill an Operations Analyst opening. This team provides support for the Trust 3000 banking firm Principal Financial Group. The team is responsible for the timely matching of domestic and global trades to ensure settlement across multiple depositories. The team is also responsible for settlement of TBA Pair-Off Trades. This role requires a self-motivated, goal-oriented individual to manage multiple tasks in a time sensitive delivery schedule. What You Will Do Responsible for the daily processing of domestic and global trade settlement, as well as TBA pair-off settlement Basic processing and/or service activities specific to team functions Primary focus is on day-to-day operational execution Respond to client inquiries in a timely, accurate and professional manner Maintaining the highest level of confidentiality, quality and privacy Reviewing, analyzing, and entering client information and transactions into multiple systems Interact effectively with multiple operational teams Manage a time sensitive delivery schedule Heavy interaction with the client, as well as team mates, on the phone, email and in person in a professional and accurate manner Regular and reliable attendance in accordance with position, business and/or client needs Other duties as assigned What We Need From You Undergraduate degree and/or equivalent work experience required. Preference in: Accounting, Finance or Business related field Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook What We Would Like From You Demonstrate effective communication skills as well as set clear expectations to all clients, service partners, and internal teams both in written and verbal communication.
