Equipment operator

Overview BHI Energy is currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator based at Sutton Steam Plant in Wilmington, NC. This is a local hire position and will not pay relocation fees. The role may require traveling to other plants for maintenance, with per-diem eligible when traveling away from the home base. We are hiring multiple positions based on experience level. The applicant must have at least 3 years of experience in heavy equipment operating. Dirt work experience is a plus, and the ability to read blueprints is preferred. Equipment to be operated includes bulldozers, excavators, front end loaders, vibratory rollers, skid steers, and mini excavators. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment including bulldozers, excavators, front end loaders, vibratory rollers, skid steers, and mini excavators. Travel to other plants for maintenance and support, with per-diem eligibility when traveling from the home base. Read and interpret blueprints as required by projects. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy equipment operation. Dirt work experience is a plus. Ability to read blueprints. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Must be 18 years of age. Must pass a drug test and a security background check. Additional Information Based in Wilmington, NC; local hire with no relocation coverage.
