Operating Room Assistant

Identifies, transports patients to, from and within the OR Suite. Assists with patient positioning which includes holding extremities during surgical prep, turning patients onto surgical table/frame. Assists nursing staff with retrieving and returning equipment, supplies, implants. Assembles and stamps paperwork, prepares equipment ie; fracture table. Clean the OR suite according to Policy and Procedure between cases and is responsible for terminal cleaning of the suite. Transport specimens, lab work, patients beds to and from the OR. Does shave prep of patient.

Minimum Requirements

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• High school diploma (or equivalent) or higher
• Experience Requirements:
• ORA I: Less than 2 years of experience no certification.
• ORA II: With 2 years' experience and certification OR with 5 years' experience and no certification

Pay Range

$18.00 - $24.12

• • Day Shift & Night Shift(when needed by department)
  • 8 or 10 hr shifts
  • On Call Required
  • 3-5 Weekday Call Shifts & Rotating Weekends per 6-week scheduling period
