Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Inmate Transport in Bushnell, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas in an armed, driving post, helping to support a secure environment. You will perform routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant information to site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorization when required, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations in accordance with site protocols.
• Support public-facing operations by maintaining a visible presence, providing directions and assistance, and following post orders for escorts, incident response, and other assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
