MRI TechnologistUnder supervision of the Lead MRI Technologist, and following established policies and procedures, performs a variety of duties related to MRI. Performs MRI procedures in order to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patient's illnesses and injury, is responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing MRI procedures and use of MRI equipment.Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:Minimum one year of experience in MRI TechnologyExcellent communication, customer service and organizational skillsWorking knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, and/or willingness to continue formal education in this category within a designated time periodWill require 1-3 months of orientation or the equivalent with on-the-job training based on existing skill-setPreferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:Hands on experience with Siemens MRI equipmentSynapse/PACS experienceEducational Requirements:ARRT or ARMRIT certification in Radiologic Technology and MRI Technology; successful completion of an intravenous certification class approved by this institution, successfully accomplished within the 12 week probationary periodLicense/Certification: ARRT or ARMRIT certification in Radiologic Technology and MRI Technology required.Physical Demands:Use hands to control objects, tools, or controlsStand or sit for long periods of timeRepeat the same movementsOn feet for long periods of timeBend or twist bodySee details of objects that are less than a few feet awayHold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the armMake quick, precise adjustments to machine controlsUse fingers or hands to grasp, move, or assemble objectsMove two or more limbs together (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while remaining in placeSpeak clearly so listeners can understandUnderstand the speech of another personUse stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without getting tiredAge Specific Criteria: Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas.Ability to Meet Job Performance Expectations: Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or other individuals in the workplace, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
