Operations Technician II, III or Sr (Measurement)

Operations Technician Senior Operations Technician Sr. will demonstrate technical expertise and analyze data to find solutions for technical or operational problems. This role will ensure our facility equipment is maintained, and pipeline operations are successful. Troubleshooting, problem solving skills and accurate record‑keeping are a must, while maintaining safety as a top priority. Responsibilities and Expectations Perform a variety of tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support pipeline operations, including technical standards and governmental requirements. Carry out moderate to highly sophisticated technical assignments as prescribed by the leader, analyzing data to resolve issues. Read and interpret drawings; draft operations and maintenance procedures. Follow all policies and apply appropriate procedures. Coordinate protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets. Maintain knowledge of site/location/equipment specific permits and compliance. Complete assigned reports, logs and maintain accurate records. Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot natural gas measurement equipment, including meters (ultrasonic, orifice, rotary, etc.), gas chromatographs, over‑pressure protection devices, analyzers, transmitters, odorant pumps, and associated control equipment. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience – Senior Required: High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of six (6) years of demonstrated ability as an Operations Technician for similar equipment or facility. Preferred: Associates or 2‑year technical degree and a minimum of six (6) years of multifaceted Operations Technician experience within a natural gas processing or compression facility; minimum two (2) years of experience with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of gas measurement equipment. Operations Technician III – Measurement Responsibilities/Expectations Performs various tasks to safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations, including reading/interpreting drawings, inspecting/supervising equipment and maintaining operation/technical standards and/or governmental requirements. Responsible for data analysis and collaboration with others to find solutions to technical or operational problems. Follows all Company policies and applies appropriate operating and maintenance procedures. Acquires knowledge of and adheres to requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets. Maintains general knowledge of site/location/equipment and permitting. Completes assigned reports, logs and maintains accurate records of process operations and performance of preventative maintenance on equipment. Minimum one (1) year of experience with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of gas measurement equipment. Preferred: Associates or two‑year technical degree; minimum six (6) months of experience with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of gas measurement equipment. Physical and Environment Work Requirements Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces. Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed. Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time. Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements Available to work after hours, on‑call rotations, nights, weekend shifts, and holidays as the need arises. May be required to work overtime, 10‑12 hour shifts, and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays. Other Requirements Must possess a valid State Driver’s License and a clean driving record. Demonstrate aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and place safety as the utmost priority. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills; proficient/advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers.
