Heavy Equipment/Truck Mechanic

Starting Pay $39.00 - $45.00 Depending on Experience!

Basic Tools needed company provides specialty tools

All you need to be successful in this role is Mechanical Knowledge, a Driver's License, and a good work ethic!

Responsibilities

Heavy Equipment/Truck Mechanic

• Identifies problems with mechanical, hydraulic, diesel & electrical systems and executes solutions
• Reads & understands hydraulic & electrical schematics
• Troubleshoots and repairs diesel engines (Cummins, Volvo-penta).
• Performs maintenance & mechanical repairs on Side loaders (Loaded Container Handler), Hostlers (Terminal Tractor) , Forklifts, support equipment, etc.
• Maintains routine maintenance schedules on all Heavy Terminal Fleet equipment
• On Call for weekends (every 5 weeks)
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 2 year heavy equipment mechanical repair and maintenance experience required
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Diesel experience needed
• Open availability
• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
• Hydraulic and electrical is a plus but not required
• Previous crane repair and/or maintenance is preferred
• Valid Driver's License
• Must be willing to complete a drug screen, and background check
