Patient Care TechnicianUnder the direct supervision of licensed personnel, the Patient Care Technician will perform basic direct and indirect patient care duties in support of the treatment and care of patients. Reporting Relationship: Reports to: Nurse ManagerQualifications:Licensure Required; N.C. Nurse Aide I Registry.High school graduate or GED requiredBLS certification through the American Heart AssociationPrevious experience as nursing assistant in hospital setting is preferred, not required.Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent customer service skillsDemonstrates tact, versatility, and dependabilityHigh degree of self-motivation and directional initiativePositive attitude, demeanor and an effective team memberAbility to work at a rapid pace with numerous interruptionsPerforms skills and competencies as defined in orientation checklist and annual departmental competency checklist if applicableDemonstrates and maintains competencies specific to patient population servedWe Value Customer Service:Responsible for driving the SHCS culture through values and customer service standardsAccountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customersDevelops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communicationTakes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner
