Unit Description
Required Cert: BLS Resp/Pulmonary experience helpful but not required. Will consider first time traveler if they have float pool experience. Our Respiratory Institute Unit compassionately cares for a wide variety of lung and breathing conditions and work with specialists to treat related health issues. This is a 30 bed unit with a 4:1 nurse to patient ratio (can be 5:1 at times). Some of these respiratory conditions include: • Largest Adult Cystic Fibrosis Unit in the country • Airway obstruction • Acute bronchitis • Asthma • Chronic cough • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and chronic bronchitis • Collapsed lung • Fractured rib • Pneumonia/Sepsis
